There seems to be a minor bug in the
"Copy Files" script. If i use the
"Full" file copy option and use extracted wim folders as source, build seems to stop with an error message similar to
"TxtAddLine - Failed to add line to file: [%BaseDir%\Target\Win7PESE\windows\system32\winpeshl.ini] line: [[LaunchApps]]"
The build will complete successfully if either i don't use extracted WIM source or file copy option is changed from
"Full" to
"Standard".
"Extract WIM" utility seems to prefer
"Winre.wim" over regular
"Boot.wim" and i believe that's where the issue lies . While
"Boot.wim" doesn't have a
"winpeshl.ini" in
"System32" folder,
"winre.wim" has one with a command line to launch the recovery environment. Either deleting or renaming the default
"winpeshl.ini" from the extracted "winre.wim" folder results in successful completion of the build.
