Is there a way to have the Disk Management Applet loaded on to the desktop?  I realize it is in the Start Menu, but would prefer a short cut on the desktop.

I did look through all the sections before I ask. But since it is possible I missed it, I checked again.  That option is not showing in my Apps tree.  I just downloaded this tool on Tuesday, so I believe I have the most recent.

Or edit pecmd.ini with
Code: [Select]
LINK %Desktop%\Disk Management,%WinDir%\System32\diskmgmt.msc

Thanks for all the feedback, I was still not seeing the MMC interface.  On the chance that I broke something I started over.

I deleted my Win10XPE folder
Re-downloaded Win10XPE_2020-11-20.7z, and extracted.
Pointed to my install media
Pressed the big blue button.... no other changes

The MMC interface is not showing in the Apps section of the build tool,  The option to download Optional Apps is selected.  The item for diskmgmt.msc is in the pecmd.ini...

After launching the ISO, the disk management applet is installed and part of the start menu

Furthermore, what I am hoping to do is have the Applet on the desktop, not the full MMC Interface.   I was able to drag the applet out of the Start menu to the desktop for an example.

I must be missing something basic

Hi

in your optional.png I'm not seeing the line
Code: [Select]
LINK %Desktop%\Disk Management,%WinDir%\System32\diskmgmt.msc

which was one of the two options given to put a shortcut on the desktop

edit:
I've just tried both options suggested, and both will individually put a working shortcut to 'Disk Management' on the desktop

THANK YOU.... I missed the %Desktop% in the first example.  I am sure this will work.  Sorry for the extra work !
