Hi kamrul08,

See if this helps,

Download new
Basic\"Retrieve Tools" Plugin from the server

See: Small Green Download Button on Plugins - Reply 1: Update Plugins

Thanks. I followed your post. I'm running Win7PE SE. I don't have the plug in you marked. I'm stuck with 0-preconfig plug in.

Hi kamrul08

My mistake, Correct: \Build\"Retrieve Tools" Plugin

I don't have the plug in you marked. I'm stuck with 0-preconfig plug in.
As seen on your picture, 1 plugin before 0 - PreConfig plugin.

With other words:
Following picture, at left of the picture, look one line up from Right->Arrow you add at the left of 0 - PreConfig plugin.

Yes, on your picture Down-Arrow Button is correct button (Small Green Download button) to download new plugin from server, use it with "Retrieve Tools" Plugin

You were very close

Thanks again to reply.
I used the button (marked in my previous screenshot) many times and every time the plugin updated. But my problem is not solved.

Hi kamrul08,

I feel there is a misunderstanding ...  Try this one :

\Utils\"Update Win7PESE (Exact and Secure)" Plugin -----> click "Update (Download + Copy)" Button

It is a very big button, you can not miss it.

I'm failure. I tried the update process successfully (\Utils\"Update Win7PESE Exact and Secure)" Plugin -----> click "Update (Download + Copy)" Button) but no solution.

I also tried changing my OS from Windows 10 to Windows 7. Any idea please?

Hi kamrul08,

I just update Win7PESE package to 2021.04.24 (Win7PE_SE_2021-04-24.zip) including all fixes on the current topic case.
This way we can be all sure results are the same.

Here tested and all work fine. (I use Win10x64 host here)

Be sure your AntiVirus or FireWall do not block anything,
Extract Win7PESE to a simple folder eg. D:\Oven\
If possible add D:\Oven\ folder to your AntiVirus and Firewall exception list (if not temporary disable AntiVirus and FireWall )
and If still failure, provide your .log file created after you click Blue Play button,
with such a log I am sure someone around can help.

Hi kamrul08,

A new quick update Win7PESE package to 2021.04.25 (Win7PE_SE_2021-04-25.zip) now available
It seems ms decide to do things after relevant fixed, so a new package created to avoid failures.

Build with Win10 hostos. Here I tested with Win10x64 Host and Win7PESE builds fine.

For more info check Reply 16 http://TheOven.org/index.php?topic=2594.msg40317#msg40317

Thanks Lancelot.
Sorry to late response. I was busy with Win7PESE project.

I downloaded Win7PE_SE_2021-04-25.zip and tried on Windows 7 first. Same problem (Wimgapi was not found.). I have KB3AIK_EN installed, net connection OK. I also tried manually adding the wimgapi.dll and other necessary files to the Projects\Tools\Win7PESE as direction. But no success. May be It's problem retrieve Tools section (Although I tried manually adding the necessary files).

Then I tried on Windows 10 with net connection. It's Working fine there. No problem. Then I came back on Windows 7 again and tried the project (Pre configure on Windows 10) on Windows 7 without net connection. Charming.

Couldn't find Windows 7 problem.

Thanks again Lancelot.

Thanks kamrul08,

For the info about your progress and results. :great:

*
Yes you are right, I need to update "Retrieve Tools" Plugin when I find time in the future.

As far as I can remember, to build on Windows 7 without net connection all you need is
1)
Copy files from GetWaikTools folder which is created with net connection (on your case "Windows 10 with net connection")
..\Workbench\Common\GetWaikTools\
2)
Put your Win7SourceCD to a folder --> this will create extracted wim folders once during the build.

****
In near future (months maybe) I will first update "Retrieve Tools" so Step 1) will not be required.
Later I will try to improve 2) so probably Step 2 will not be required.

It is a very busy lifetime for me, all I can do is feedback forum and do urgent updates when required.
But on the good side, when I improve 1) and 2) there will be probably no urgent update anymore.

As you know I put all critical announcements on "Extended Support" page. Keep an eye.

See You

Hi kamrul08,

Here are some good news for you. I partially work on ""Retrieve Tools"  Step 1)" as mentioned on my previous reply.

I just silently update Win7PESE package to 2021-05-04 for you to test.
Here I tested Offline on Win10x64 Host using Win7x64SP1 source, all went fine.  :great:

For test:
1) Extract Win7PE_SE_2021-05-04.zip to a new folder
2) Put your Win7SourceCD to a folder
3) BluePlay  ....

Let us know your results when you have time.

See You
